The President of Federal Republic of Nigeria meets with Service chiefs in the presidential villa

President Buhari had a closed-door meeting with all the service chiefs, the Minister of defence, Masur Dan-Ali and Babagana Monguno, national security adviser, at the state house in Abuja.

The meeting presided over by the president, also had in attendance Lawal Daura, director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS); Arab Yadam, the acting director of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency (NIA) and a representative of the inspector-general of police.

The service chiefs at the meeting included Gabriel Olonisakin, chief of defence staff; Tukur Buratai, chief of army staff; Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, chief of naval staff, and Sadique Abubakar, chief of air staff.
